Achievement gaps are often evident in low-performing schools and, in many instances, manifest prior to children entering kindergarten. High-quality early childhood programs have proven to help close those gaps for children and schools. During the session, system leaders, partners, and resource experts will describe the impact of early learning on outcomes, innovative approaches to address early learning in school improvement plans in alignment with NC Star, and how collaboration can promote positive outcomes. This session will also address the role of equity in school improvement plans.
